1  अमृतं तु विद्या

Education is the ambrosia or amrita

2  कामधेनुगुणा विद्या

Education is the divine wish yielding cow  kanadhenu

3 उदारचरितानां तु वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्

For the really generous people the whole world is a single family

4. परस्परं भावयन्तः  श्रेयः परमवाप्स्यथा

By taking  care of one another attain great  welfare  and fame

5. कामये दुःखतप्तानां प्राणिनां आर्तिनाशनम्

I desire the removal  of wants if those who are downtrodden abd are in sorrow 

6 नास्ति विद्यासमं चक्षुः

No eyesight  cab be as sharp as education

7. तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय

Lead us to bright light from darkness 

8.अज्ञाननाशिनी प्रज्ञा भावना भयनाशिनी

 Knowledge removes ignorance   and contemplaton removes fear

9.बुद्धिं तु सारथिं विद्धि 

Know that the intelligence  is our driver

10. यः क्रियावान्  स पण्डितः

The one who is in action alone can be a learned person

11. परोपकाराय  सतां विभूतयः

The prosperity of the noble persons is meant for service of fellow human beings

12. अभ्यासानुसारिणी विद्या  

Knowledge follows intense training by way of education
